ABOUT US

Cartron House was built in 1770 and retains a wealth of the original character and style, reflecting the warmth and informality of the atmosphere you will experience during your stay with us. Nestling in the lush Galway countryside, there are spacious lawns and fields surrounding the house, which accentuates the air of rural serenity that Cartron House offers its guests.

We are very proud of the exceptionally personal and complete service we provide to our guests. Many hotels and guest houses claim to provide such a service, but at Cartron House, the experience is genuinely warm and welcoming. We offer real flexibility and choice to our guests in terms of menu, mealtimes, and check in, and we do everything we can to cater for peoples individual requirements.

All meals are freshly hand prepared from excellent local produce so be sure to start the day with our full Irish Breakfast accompanied with home made soda bread. We can cater for all tastes and dietary requirements and discuss preferences with our guests to ensure satisfaction.

All of the internal spaces and guest rooms have been lovingly improved with new showers and an emphasis on comfort and convenience. There is a large and comfortable sitting room with television, a delightful conservatory, and an outside deck for those sunny days. Pets are welcome outside, where they can enjoy the extensive grounds. The property is extremely child friendly. Children’s meals are always available, and a cot and high chair are available upon request.
